It took me a long time to find a stand as my basement wall doesn't have a 16 inch center frame. My spike finder helped me plan where to mount the mount. I drilled pilot holes to make it easier for the studs to go into the studs, I'm happy with the end result, I just want it to stay in place 100%. I often find that the TV is a bit unbalanced after some use. I have no doubt that the mount is not strong enough. As long as you put your two studs in the studs you can probably hang this thing and it won't budge. If I had a much larger/more expensive TV I would probably go with a higher quality mount or professionally install it. All in all the mount did exactly what I wanted and was fairly easy to install. For those who aren't handy or don't know how to use the tools, this can be a learning experience!
