I haven't had any problems with this pen yet. I've been using it for about three months now. My students have dropped it multiple times and it still works. All handles still work. I had a battery in it and it still works. An occupational therapist who coaches students at my school recommended I use this for my students with autism. She said this gives them proprioceptive feedback on their hands, which in turn should help students become more aware of their hands and how hard they are pressing. Many of my students write easily and have difficulty controlling their pencils. I have many different strategies I use to solve this problem, so I can't say if this pen helped. I can say that the students put a lot of effort into controlling the pen, which is a great advantage. They are able to write very small letters compared to the large letters they normally write. You may think that writing letters will be more difficult for her, but it is easier.
