I bought this for a Dell Inspiron 15 3000 (2015 model I think?). Unfortunately, the height of the basket does not match the slot. Or rather, it works with precision so it doesn't slip in. This means I had to destroy the product to get the connector adapter out (just remove a few screws and extract/bend aluminum) and I modified it in the ghetto. install a hard drive in my laptop. All in all, it's most likely my fault for not checking the height in the optical drive slot. But I really think I measured correctly, so what do I know? Pros: A dedicated dock adapter for regular HDD/SDD connector works like a charm. After installation, my hard drive connects without any problems. The little blue light is cool (in my opinion) but I don't think it blinks when active.
