The printer was packaged in a fairly large box weighing about 30 pounds. I opened it and was pleasantly surprised at how everything was packaged. Wow, TronXY has gone to great lengths to make everything separate and easy to find. I put everything in its groups, nicely painted frame, Z carriage parts, portal and hot end, power supplies, switches, USB stick with micro SD card inserted etc. In the box I found a beautifully illustrated instruction manual with step-by-step a step by step guide which I opened up and was ready to assemble the frame. Everything is in millimeters and apart from my calipers all my measuring tools are in inches so I had to convert a lot to inches to make sure I got the right parts in the right place. When trying to locate the long frame parts I panicked because none of the 2020's or 2040's parts matched the frame length listed on the printed instructions! I ended up plugging the USB drive into my laptop and opening the manual there. . FICTION! This manual was the correct dimensions for MY car. I have to assume that the printed manual was for the 400x400 or 500x500 models and not for my 330x330 model. In about an hour I was able to assemble the frame and install the XY gantry and hotend. Be sure to extend the legs as much as possible by the end of 2020 as you will need space to install the PSU and motherboard when this step comes. The XY engines were easy to understand. Z wasn't too difficult, but be aware that you have to move the bottom bracket up with bolts and secure it, move it down a bit and tighten. If you don't do this, you'll end up with the top bearing in the wrong place and the Z bolt will get out of line, putting the Z bottom bracket in a difficult position and putting additional stress on the Z motors and possibly even burn out. from the driver. After installing the heated platform, installing limit switches, and wiring, I was ready to give it a try. The first thing I noticed is that the cable chain connection is very weak where it connects at the back. It kept coming off and I finally had to print a mount for it on my other printer. I ran it and placed it in its original position and then did the alignment procedure. Wow, the machine does 16 points on the bed and it's fast. I was worried it was going so fast, so I ran it a second time and compared the numbers. Almost equal! GOOD! Overall I like this printer. I added angle brackets for rigidity and installed OctoPrint but didn't change anything else. I'll type with it for a while and see how well it prints.
