I have had a granite cheese cutter like this for many years. It ended up breaking so I bought this one. The quality is below average. The notch in the granite isn't deep enough to cut through the entire block of cheese to the bottom, so you have to cut each piece again by hand. The wire wasn't tight enough to cut through the cheddar and when I tried to tighten it it wouldn't tighten anymore. The cutting wire then became detached from the handle. Sent back, not worth the money.
