It closes with a zipper and cannot be opened.
Ordered for my wife for Valentine's Day, the first pair came with the clasps reversed so they were sent back for an exchange and the second pair they sent had reverse clasps soldered on as well. Also, the clasps don't open wide enough to fit the ear when properly fitted. Save time and money. Turns out I bought my wife a disappointment for Valentine's Day. Thank you YFN!
