I just bought a house in Vegas that had about 15 of these and almost half of them were without tips. There are new houses everywhere in Vegas and these doorstops are everywhere. They are everywhere and stores cannot stock them. I was going to buy new ones from Walmart but only had 2 left in stock and they were a bit more expensive. They are identical in size to the standard products found in large stores. So all I had to do was unscrew the old ones from the bases and screw these new ones in. It took about 10 minutes to replace everything with missing prompts. And I have a few more additions. Someone else mentioned in their review that the screws for the bases are hidden in the springs. Just unscrew the bases from the springs and the screws will fall out. The bases are simply attached to the baseboards. Then simply screw in the springs. Easy installation. Just make sure you mark the baseboards with a pencil where they will touch the door. The fool who installed them in my house got them wrong on a couple of them and I had to remount the bases. For about a dollar each, you can't go wrong. Very important!
