I used the watch for an 8 day backpack in the Sierras, mostly off the trails. I used active training and GPS tracking mode (at maximum accuracy) for about 6-9 hours a day. In the evening of the 7th day I had to charge. I turned off the wrist heart rate as it's inaccurate crap anyway. I used the watch to track elevation, ascent, and camping time. During the hike, the clock elevation was fairly close to the topographic maps. When I got home the GPS track was very accurate after I exported the *.gpx track to Gaia Maps. Much better than my Suunto 9 Baro. I like the size of the watch as it fits my wrist very well. I didn't need maps on my watch as I had a phone with Gaia maps and I don't listen to music while hiking. At the end of the trip I drained the backup battery (Anker 13000) by charging the phone and camera. As such, Vertix's excellent battery life was a big help. In general very satisfied.
