Review on 🔆 Zilla Mini Heat and UVB Fixture by Justin Pavelko

Pros: Looks better than dome style reflectors. The pin base is not as easy to find as other types of lamps. Perfect for our Zilla 12x12x18 terrarium with anole. Fits snugly on the top without touching the plastic edges of the top and will not overheat when a 25 watt heat lamp is installed. Looks a lot better than the 2 domes above and actually provides a better thermal gradient for our anole than the dome that came with the tank. The dome reflector seemed to focus the heat more and the top warm spot got too hot. (100f+) When measured with a temperature gun I get 85-90f at the top of the tank at the top heating point, 75-80f at the middle heating point and 70-75f at the bottom substrate. Buyers beware, bulbs don't come with this fixture and you'll have to shell out another $20 or so for them. Halogen heat lamps are widely available, but mini UV lamps with 2-pin bases are much harder to find, other than from Zilla. Too bad they didn't make a light with a 2 pin halogen plug on one side and a standard plug on the other.
