Every time I went outside to let my dog out, he would start barking from the minute I got up inside the house until he was 20 or 30 feet of me was outside . It just hurts my ears. I tried to hit the can. I tried commands. I tried to hug her and tell her that she is "a good girl, please shut up". Nothing worked. So I bought a squirt gun to stop her barking. With his use of clear water, she began to respond to the command "Quiet!" O blessed relief! In any case, the range of a water gun is about 10 feet or so. It lay on my desktop for several days without leaking. If someone wants to play water splash games, it's ok for short distances. But it works great for dog training.
