It's made from solid aluminum and looks well made. As a DIYer with little angle knowledge, I find all those lines and numbers a bit confusing and don't really understand the terminology. For example, what is the difference between spring angle, bevel angle or bevel angle? I think if you know it will be helpful to you. As for me, I'm only going to use this to find common angles (45, 90, etc.) by moving the arms of this tool until it looks right, and then I'll try to find that angle in a jumble of lines and Find Numbers and then set it up
