Pretty cheap design product. The fans make clear crunching and clicking noises at all performance levels. The plastic base also flexes too much, causing the fan blades to hit something inside the pad. I had to put cardboard between the bottom of the notebook and the table to stop it. The blue LEDs are always visible and cannot be switched off. The laptop's front cover feels solid and has a non-slip lining. The metal mesh appears to allow air to flow through the top of the pillow. The USB passthrough looks good and works even when the fans are off, although I suspect plugging in a high-current device like a hard drive wouldn't be a good idea.
