Using this card with the adapter in my Tesla Model X was a short story. I believe less than a week for the first and about the same or less if I remember correctly for the second they sent me a replacement. I kept looking here at Revain and came across a USB 3.1 where you insert the card from the side. This other adapter is also more durable. I will check it next. This adapter may be suitable for a stationary environment and not for connection to a Tesla console port. But still, this other one works fine so far on the same port. I took apart the first one that failed and it's in a flimsy and thin case. I didn't put a magnifying glass on the board, but I can bet the connections between the physical pin connectors and the board aren't that good when you look at them.
