Review on πŸ’‘ Enhance Your SilverStone Modular Power Supplies with the SilverStone Technology Flat Flexible Short Cable Set - PP05-E by Etai Gopala

Nice cable set.

The 8-pin CPU power cable is the only one I can't remove, but I'm not pointing the finger at Silverstone. Is the cable long enough? In my case yes, it connects normally. Would a longer cable help make it cleaner? nope ASRock placed the connector just behind the rear I/O ports, right in the middle of the Z87E-ITX. I still have to thread it through the front of the motherboard no matter which way I go damn it. I had a hard time connecting the 24 pin and 8 pin connectors. This was partly because of my stupidity, partly because it wasn't immediately clear which end was connected to the power supply and which was connected to the motherboard. For reference, the 4+4 and 20+4 connectors go to the motherboard, while the solid 24-pin and 8-pin (solid) connectors go to the power supply (yes). The +4 terminals don't match their parents very closely, and you may find them difficult to hold together when plugging into tight spaces. Inches Outer Bend Radius (after springback, with no continuous force applied). This, of course, crumples the cable, and it will probably never be completely smooth again at this point. The bend radius without permanent deformation is closer to 0.25 inch. The 20+4 pin cable is double-layered, so it doesn't fold so compactly (I can't measure the bending here because it's already on the computer). All other cables are single-layer. Final Words: I love Silverstone's small form factor products for my first compact build and this set of short ribbon cables is a welcome addition that goes a long way towards creating a clean small form factor setup.
