I've found the best placement is to mount the pair horizontally (the driver is on the "left" side of each speaker, so it's difficult to mount the sweet spot vertically ), about a foot away from the top ceiling. They stand in front of the house on my covered patio, about 12 feet by 23 feet. Great resolution and bass so far and I haven't used them more than 8 hours total. Currently powered by the Audioengine N22 amplifier which offers just 44 watts into 4 ohms, enough to cover a meter without pushing it to its limits. Country.
