I bought these two years ago and didn't read the fine print, my fault. They are being restored by Revain. They only have a 90-day warranty, not Definitive Technology's 5-year warranty. I had a hit, although my Marantz receiver doesn't come close to the 175 watts they're supposed to handle. I've found the best placement is to mount the pair horizontally (the driver is on the "left" side of each speaker, so it's difficult to mount the sweet spot vertically ), about a foot away from the top ceiling. Bought AW 5500 speakers through Revain. Dead after 4 seasons. Definitely contacted as they claim the product has a 5 year guarantee. They insisted that I disassemble the soldered speaker and find out if the problem is the driver/tweeter or the crossover. This is easily possible with an internal loudspeaker.
