This is the most positive thing about my order. Dispatched on the day of order, received two days later. The device looks beautiful. Very small (less than 2 feet tall). Due to the low speed, I need two fans to circulate the air in my room. Keep in mind that I live in a converted school building so have very high ceilings and my windows are 10 feet high and 55 inches wide. Cooling these spaces is not easy. The hose attachment on the kit does not work because the grooves are cut too wide. So, like most wearable devices, I had my magic masking tape. Cooled down quickly, but how quiet - NO! Two speeds - High and Low. Sleep is light and it sounds like a freight train is rolling through my bedroom. It was two nights. The manufacturer claims it operates at around 52 to 56 decibels, but I don't believe it. BUT I don't know of any reasonably quiet portable air conditioner. These things are just plain ugly and if that's all you can use then you're stuck. The one I have in my living room is a different brand. It's quieter because it doesn't rumble like a train. But I bought this machine based on the rave reviews. So maybe it's just a matter of preference and how loud you can tolerate at night.
