My son needed a battery powered fan for use at summer camp. I knew his bunk might not be next to an electrical outlet. As an electrical engineer, I knew that fans powered by AA batteries are lighter, but don't necessarily last as long. This is EXACTLY what he needed. With two D batteries, he didn't use the thing for a week. I sent it to storage with a fan and about 8 batteries and it was great for a full month and then some more. Exactly what he needed.
