NOTE. I have NOT used this product due to its survival properties. This product has many great reviews. I suspect it's mainly due to the amazing internal performance of the product. However, I hope I can offer a word of caution that this is not a very good paracord. I used some of these to make a continuous ridge line for my tent/tarp for my hammock campsite. I thought it would be really cool to have extra "survival threads" right up my spine that are always available if something happens. Coupling, makes the cord fun to "tie" and forms kinks in it. I can only surmise that it's due to the many different materials inside, each with a different degree of "return". Second, if you cut the cord and burn the end. After some use of the cord you will come back to find that some elements have shifted and are now sticking out of the end of your previously cut/burned end. For example I have a copper wire sticking out at the end - VERY sharp. and now when I'm gathered in my duffel bag with a rain fly, I'll pierce the fly with a wire if I'm not careful. I broke up with him too. Other people have mentioned it too, but it's not as flexible as "regular" paracord. I knew that was going to happen - so it is. I think the product is great. It might be cool to make bracelets out of it and stuff like that. However, this is NOT a product I would use in a work environment. only in "what if" mode. And for me, that keeps him out of my pocket. I need products that can be used effectively every day.
