Out of the box it took quite a while to charge, but after that it went swimmingly easy. I would recommend starting indoors to get a feel for getting into the air and changing direction. After that I would wait for a windless day to fly outside or fly in the middle of a big field. The big difference between this and other drones is the capability to do aerobatics. I did not think I was going to be able to do them, but after a little practice my favorite was the banked loop. It also does flips, corkscrew landings, and 360 degree twists. I've had several hard landings on concrete with no damage so it is sturdy.
