I bought this material not believing it would be strong enough. Maybe not soft enough. I grew up with this ridiculously stiff cord and if you bend it the wrong way a billion needles will run through your fingertips that you will feel for the next 2 years. Although this material is wonderful. Metal covered with a durable plastic layer will do. I hang all my stuff on the ledges in my 30 year old house (thisold30shouse.wordpress.com, I will write a post on how to hang the ledges), including mirrors, large paintings, calligraphy and other things. This material is ideal for holding anything and is a dream to work with. Tie the eyelets in exactly the same way, only instead of wrapping them 4 times I wrap them around me 8 times. Take this thing, you won't regret it!
