I've tried various products to keep the wind out of my windows (foam barrier, strong tape, etc.). So I decided to try this kit. I installed it today and it already looks promising, I can't feel the wind anymore. Although it says to apply it from the outside, I did it from the inside of my windows (tip: clean your windows before applying the film). Rubbing alcohol was used to clean the frame. It is available, inexpensive and dries quickly. Very fast. For the shrink wrap I used a heat gun (I had it handy). Be careful when sticking the foil. Let me start this review by saying I've tried 2 different brands of window insulation kits this year and the 3M brand outperforms other brands. I ordered three sets that fit the window: 2 sets from another popular brand and one set from 3M. To put it bluntly, the other brand sucked.
