These socks offer light compression from knee to toe. I'm on my feet ten hours a day and using it has definitely reduced the swelling. Previous experiences with other compression stockings have not been positive. The socks I used to use were made of artificial fabrics, they were extremely difficult to put on, they were uncomfortable because of the very tight band at the top and they were very expensive. Pembrook compression stockings are great. The price couldn't be better (less than $5 each). The composition of the material includes cotton, which makes these socks look like ordinary socks. The socks are quite easy to put on. I put them on, washed them, then put the pair back on and the socks held up well. At the moment I can highly recommend Pembrook compression stockings: price, comfort, lightness and efficiency - all in the top 5!
