The idea of a beer 'cooler' is really selling here in Australia, where our summer days regularly top 100 degrees. Once your beer comes out of the fridge, it won't be long before the chill is gone and a warm drink is less desirable. Of course, real men just drink their beer faster, but since my favorite drink comes in a 1 pint bottle, it usually takes me a little longer to drink it. Beverage coolers fit the bottle well and don't leak, but the mouth-to-mouth interface takes some getting used to and the "cold" doesn't last long. Forget the fact that they chill room temperature beer by more than a few degrees, but they can increase the chilling time if your beer is already chilled before you pour it. Nice trick but no real cure for warm beer on a hot day.
