I was very excited after receiving it. Set up was very easy: just plug and play. It worked great and as expected for about 2-3 days. However, after unplugging and plugging my laptop back in, all the problems started. First, the problem with extending the desktop to the 2nd monitor. This drove me crazy because it duplicated the monitor on both screens (which means it recognizes that a second monitor is connected), but it's almost like it counts both monitors as one and doesn't recognize the second , so I can extend the desktop . It was only after I connected one monitor via VGA and the other via HDMI that the other monitor was recognized. Then I disabled VGA and replaced it with HDMI, everything worked again. But actually, the setup got messed up again after I unplugged and plugged my laptop back in. Problem 2 is internet speed. I noticed that my internet was very slow. Keep in mind that I have a gigabit connection and connect directly to my router through this dock. I ran a speed test when connected through a docking station and when connected directly to a laptop. See pictures. Obviously something is wrong with the dock if it reduces my internet speed by more than half. What good is a docking station if I need to connect directly to my laptop! I had high hopes for this product but my expectations were not met. While it's not the biggest issue, it would be nice if the USD C-type cable was just a few inches longer.
