I had two adult male guinea pigs in a small cage. They succeeded, but they needed more space. It's pretty good value for money. Easy assembly, several useful features including the front door - the entire side of the wire case. The water bottle is nice and a good size, but the holder doesn't stay put. I went back to two pieces of wire for the bottle and it works fine. Didn't use the upper level/shelter because the guys stayed there all the time. They were unable to knock over the food plate, but it tends to wander along the bottom of the cage. All in all a good solution for two caves!
