I bought this chain to lock my bike in the garage because someone was trying to hack it. With bikes hard to come by during Covid, thefts happen every day everywhere, even in good areas. My neighbors bikes were stolen about a week before they tried to break into my garage. Luckily I had a new open one that had shifted so those bastards cut their hands and left blood on the front of the May garage which I proudly displayed. the rain washed it away. So I bought 3 chains, 3 locks and 3 fasteners, so I drilled the fasteners into the rivets. I tried a few different ones out of the 3 chains, all the same size. The Rampro is 12mm or 1/2" thick, the welds are strong 💪 I don't use padlocks when I ride because I don't need to lock my bike while riding. Yes, these chains are heavy and mine is 33 inches long , which is long enough to get a fat tire e-bike to my mount.
