On MacOS I get 1610 MB/s write and 1738 MB/s read. Not as fast as my Samsung EVO but much cheaper and perfect for my fast music server. Good upgrade. It gets hot during recording, so it's recommended to use some kind of heatsink to avoid throttling. In my fanless Mini-ITX case, I had to mount it under the motherboard just a few millimeters from the bottom of the case. I used 2 thermal pads to connect the drive to the case and it worked like clockwork. When writing, the temperature must not exceed 41°C! Without thermal coupling, it will quickly heat up to 70°C and stall.
