This is a more athletic style bag. The material is waterproof or at least seems to be. It has that plastic-y feel to it and seems well made. The bag is a typical one top flap to open to gain access with two smaller side pockets on the outside. The bag actually arrives zipped up into itself. This would be an IDEAL second bag to stow away on a trip and then use to store stuff you acquire to then take home. It comes with a decent shoulder strap and has one of those side/bottom pockets for shoes. I don't need that pocket but it's nice to know it's there. Anyhow a good general decent sized carry on.
