These Work! Extra large curlers are meant to add volume and create a voluminous look, not tight curls. A lot of other reviewers had issues with the clips, but they work, you just need to read the instructions and insert them correctly. The bobby pin should be on the opposite side of the curl. The only downside is that the hair clip can create a slight twist in your hair, but that happens with any curler. Someone has to invent clips that don't. Until then, this set is great for nice volume with a big curl.
