Review on πŸŽ’ Black Timbuk2 Division Pack Laptop Backpacks in Various Sizes by Dominique Phillips

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Small, light, fits quite a bit but is not easily accessible.

It's small, light and well made, but the accessible design is terrible. Outside pockets are almost impossible to open and access the contents. The main compartment has small pockets on the outside on the back for things like phones, passports, etc. The biggest problem is that you have to open the main compartment completely if you want to access items from below. Pocket. A better design would be to split the main compartment in two, with a flat top to store some items that you also want quick access to, and a larger bottom for things you need to carry but not immediate need access to. The bag I've been using mostly for overseas travel lately is the Lowepro Fastpack 250 DSLR camera backpack, even when I travel I don't take my camera with me, I use one bag to carry multiple digital devices etc. But it is heavy and bulky, difficult to fit in the trunk at times, and given the extra weight, I had to check my suitcase because the backpack was taking me over the carry-on limit. The Division backpack is a lot lighter, significantly lighter, a lot thinner and can still hold quite a bit of gear. For example, on his most recent trip, he had a 15" MacBook Pro, a power adapter, a Magic Mouse, two 2.5" hard drives, a Kindle, three smartphones, Samsung noise-cancelling headphones, lots of cables, passports, a few field notes , Months. Delivery of contact lenses, cases for glasses.
