I wanted this backpack to be able to carry my work shoes, lunch and purse at the same time without putting undue stress on my shoulders after surgery. That fits the bill. It is light and strong enough, has a separate place for shoes, an inner compartment with a zip and a few additional outer pockets with a zip. I love the anti-theft device with room for a phone or passport on the back next to the case and the flip cover. There is a strap on the chest that fastens with a buckle to keep the shoulder straps in the right position and not slipping off. I think the shoulder straps could be a little softer for more comfort, but my commute isn't all that long and I haven't noticed any difficulties in my winter coat. This is a great product at an affordable price.
