This mic performs well when held in a stationary position. Any bend or movement of the cable or interruption of the recording. You get what you pay for. 2 Stars ***Update*** The seller contacted me shortly after I posted my original review to correct it. The microphone they sold me may have been damaged in transit. I received an updated version which is great. This one actually works on both my iPod Touch and Samsung Galaxy S8 without using an adapter. I intend to use the microphone for my YouTube motologging channel. I haven't had a good chance to test how it handles high winds, I need to add some wind protection first before I can honestly say it's good for this type of activity. Also, the mic is very good at picking up sound, I've clipped it to a collar, a seat belt in a car, and even pulled it on the windshield to try and pick up sound between two people. Overall I'm satisfied, for the price you can't find it. The "upgraded" mic is great, it comes with plenty of cord, I have to put it away as I don't need more than 2ft, but it's nice to have.
