Comrade from the People's Republic of New York thanks fellow travelers from the Socialist Republic of California

On March 1, 2020, our esteemed leader in New York City, Prime Minister Cuomo, issued a statewide ban on plastic bags. , I see myself as someone who tries to do what is best for the environment. When grocery stores started using plastic bags a few years ago, like many of you, I stopped buying Hefty and Glad garbage bags and started using grocery bags as garbage bags. They fit in my bins, had handy handles I could tie, and it was nice to know the bag had a dual purpose. Unfortunately, in their wisdom, our all-wise politicians have decided to ban these packages. Yes, I can use a reusable grocery bag (although during COVID-19, was this really the best time to make that decision?). But I can't use a reusable bin liner, can I? So that means I'll be paying hefty or glad again for thicker, less biodegradable bags and I'll end up multiplying my own plastic footprint many times over. I was pleased to find that these tote bags are available in bulk. Instead of paying 18 cents per bag, Glad costs about 3.6 cents per bag. I have no idea what 15 microns or 0.6 mil means so I just believed it was the right thickness. And I have to thank a lot of Californians - it looks like you did this exercise two years ago and based on your feedback I made my purchase with confidence. The bag isn't the thickest in the world, but it's also not so thin that it falls apart in your hand like some stores used to carry (I'm here for you, CVS). Let's just say it will probably hold around 10-20 apples without breaking, but you have to be careful of the sharp corners of the boxes that can burn through. They would be great for things like cat litter or dog poo. slim). I'm looking forward to putting them in the trunk of my car and packaging my own products as usual instead of electronically. coli+COVID infected reusable bag. And I look forward to continuing to use them in my junk for 50-83% savings compared to lining the pockets of big companies like CLX.
