I bought this for my 4th gen iPod Touch that someone gave me as a gift but never used. It was still in the box with the original charging cable when I stumbled across it while looking for something else. I found someone who wanted the Touch but when I looked in the box the cord was gone. The Charger Cable Gremlins struck again. This cable works perfectly. I don't know how long this will take as it often depends on how carefully the user plugs and unplugs both ends.
