So full disclosure I have very fine, very soft, very blonde hair on my legs. Why do I bother to mention that. Well I am always looking for the best way to remove leg hair. Like many women, I don't always shave when it gets cold and only wear pants. Again, why am I mentioning this? Because when my hair is fairly short, it stands straight and is easier to trim. Not easy, but easier. The longer it gets, the more impossible it becomes to shave. The hair is so soft and thin that it just lays against my skin and doesn't get cut with a razor. I thought waxing would be my lifesaver! However, I think for the same reason I can't shave, I can't wax. I smeared the wax onto the leg area and then took it off. While I had hair I only got 1/4 of what was there, if any. I thought it might be wax so I tried it on a small area of my husband's leg and he removed 95% of what was under the wax. While I think this wax is generally effective, it is not suitable for my hair type. Let's get to the actual set and features. First, the heating pad is a good size to fit on the bathroom counter or in the sink area. It heats up incredibly quickly and retains heat for a very long time. The highest temperature is a bit hot for me, so I turned it down a bit. The wax itself melts beautifully and I left some by turning the machine off and then back on to see if it would heat up just as well the second time. It happened! The cleaning wasn't that bad until I let the wax cure 100% and overall everything worked exactly as I expected. The only downside was that it didn't suit my hair type. So if you have thick hair I would recommend this. If you're like me, I would pass.
