Great for preventing litter from being thrown everywhere. I have 5 cats/kittens and it is difficult to keep the house clean. It's the perfect size for the area I need it in as I have a very large trash can. My only issue is that he doesn't pee easily (I have a 5 year old cat who has a sore leg so he can't squat low enough to pee and sometimes he rolls overboard). It needs to be taken outside, hosed down and air dried before it can be used again. Other than that, it's a good buy. Edit: This is not intended for hardwood floors. I had this on my wooden floors with a tray on it. The subsoil must not seep any liquid. However, when I lifted the mat to clean the area, part of the backing stuck to the floor. I ended up having to throw it out to stop it sticking and buy 2 very long memory foam bath mats with pee pads placed on them. It is recommended to use it on carpets and not on floor coverings where it could stick.
