We have an old house that only had one outlet per room. Although we had an electrician upgrade it a bit (hooray! More than an outlet!), we have a decent amount of electronics. Sure we could just use some smaller power cords, but that's just cumbersome and unnecessary if you can get it. The longer cord is great (our living room is 12 feet) and spacing between outlets wasn't an issue. For our older electronics (like the NES and Atari 2600) we bought a different version that had fewer outlets but more space between them. everyone. So if you have a similar problem, we recommend this.
