There used to be a non-franchise radio store and electronics store in my town. Now I'm stuck with what's available at Home Depot, which focuses primarily on 10-16 AWG electrical wire accessories for things like hacking/customizing a custom vehicle wire harness. So I ordered this multipack exclusively for 22-18 AWG. quick couplings. Similar products from other sellers had product images that clearly showed ridiculous/caricatured oversized 22-18 AWG connectors, but this product's photos imply that the size (even plated) is fairly reasonable. It's not relevant. These quick couplers are HUGE and all literally the same size. That is, the pin and socket are the same size for 12 AWG, 16 AWG, and 22 AWG connectors. So when you add insulation everything is actually 1/4 inch thick and just under 1/2 inch wide. These are ALL quick couplers. The only difference in size is the ferrule. Even if you melt or cut the insulation (which alone quadruples the size of the plug and socket), you still have a 12 - 10 AWG quick connector mounted on 22 AWG wire. As such, they are utterly useless for the job I need them for, which is adapting a quick connector for 22 AWG wires in a housing sized to fit the 22 AWG wires going through lost him. At best I can cut the ferrule off the 22AWG connectors and solder or spot weld them to the much smaller spades and sockets (for much larger wire gauges!) that come from Home Depot. At least I have I think. This scrap came in a nifty plastic case with dividers so the male and female components are separate inside and the case has great little clips to keep it closed to prevent spills! Ironically, when we finally removed the plastic shrink wrap to measure the cartoonishly sized 22-18 AWG connectors for this review, both retaining clips fell off immediately. Close examination suggests that these clips were never attached to the box.
