This is an unusual tool. It's tough enough to plow through cold peanut butter and clean the sides and edges well. Works perfectly! We have a silicone spatula that cleans well but isn't strong enough to penetrate cold peanut butter. This tool is characterized by its hardness. This would be perfect for a large new jar of peanut butter to mix with butter and also to use when you need peanut butter. But don't stop using it for peanut butter. It seems that it can be used for other purposes as well. I was in a hurry to prepare a salad for my husband who needed to eat on the go. I tossed the salad and other ingredients, then reached into the drawer for a large fork or something to mix everything together. There was my new red-handled tool, and I used it on the lettuce. It worked like a champ! Made for this job. I can't wait to find more uses for this really fun tool. I'm very glad I bought it, although at first I thought I was stupid to buy an instrument just for peanut butter. I'm so glad I was stupid that day.
