keeps what it should. When you hold it in your hands, it initially feels cheap like there's nothing inside, but that's the beauty of solid state drives. No moving internal parts. I've been beating the crap out of this crap for months with no effect. The last external hard drive I had fell a foot after a full week and its case exploded on the floor. The needles bent inside and I lost everything I was wearing. The Solid State is worth the extra cost.
