The Bosch GET75-6N sander looks like a great sander to me. I buy good tools after studying the market, I use them, I expect them to last, and companies back them up with excellent customer service, parts, and maintenance. I know how to use tools. I take care of you. like that . . . I was very disappointed when the GET75-6N broke within an hour of use. The grinding plate is broken. Simply order a new pad and off you go. I turned to Revain and Bosch for help. The guys from Revain put a lot of effort into it, but nothing came of it. Bosch has shamelessly stated that the GET75-6N carrier boards will not be available until August 2020! Basically, a grinder without a soleplate is useless. So I looked at the fix. Support pad fix for GET75-6N Turns out this is an easy fix. The pad consists of three parts: the pad itself, a hard plastic disc, and a metal key that fits over the grinder's head. The bolt then pulls the pad towards the grinder. What breaks are the little plastic rivets holding the plastic washer to the metal key. It has six holes around the inner perimeter of the plastic disc and key. There are also two small holes closer to the center. By aligning the six holes in the plastic washer with the six holes in the metal key. Using the two smaller holes, I drilled holes in the plastic disc using the holes in the key to guide the location. everything is centered when assembling. Once the holes are drilled, use a couple of rivets in those holes. You have a working grinder! Another way to solve the problem is called the Fest Tool.
