Review on Brondell UC300 Three Stage Counter Filtration by Juan Wilson

Hardware: Very easy to assemble and install. Supplied with all parts needed for integration with standard installations. The included faucet is very nice and well made with a good finish (durable, no dripping/leaking). Like others, I would have liked a ground version of the faucet, but it really wasn't a deal breaker. The diverter and hardware feel solid, and the filter mount is nice and solid. Each of the 3 filter holders can be folded up to change filters, which I didn't notice in the description, but it's a great feature to make changing filters easier. Water quality: Filtered water tastes great and is definitely better than tap water. and single filter (over-counter model) replaced. There was some initial build up and an odd oily appearance in the water until I drained it a bit. The instructions suggest refueling the filter after approximately 5 minutes of operation. It took me about 10 minutes to see that there was no visible sediment in the glass and to trust the taste of the water. I believe the sediment came from the filters and the oily residue could be in the outlet pipes or the faucet from the manufacturing process. Anyway, this was cleared on the first reset. The water looks a little cloudy, but it's just air bubbles that disperse in the glass within seconds and become very clear. I didn't check with a quality meter, but the filtered water definitely improved the color, taste, and smell. Overall I am very happy with this purchase. The ease of installation and the inclusion of all the necessary parts (and a quality faucet) definitely make this a steal. The total installation time from opening the box to the first glass of drinking water was about 45 minutes.
