Two of my Prevue Hendryx Hampton cage canaries love to waste their food and the food isn't cheap enough for my outside birds to always throw away. Decided to try these feeders to see if they would help stem the seed ending up on the bottom of the cage and on the floor. These feeders are amazing and I am buying two more. It doesn't completely stop the birds from scattering seeds all over the place, but it does a lot better than most feeders. Small birds are curious enough to check out anything that comes into their possession, so they have no problem eating them. Feeders have small, removable bottoms filled with "leftovers" that are emptied from the outside without having to go into the emptying cage. A very nice touch to save the canaries from the giant pet monster that often invades their cage. Cons: On my Prevue Hendryx Hampton cages the feeder didn't have room to easily attach due to the way the hole cage is, but I found that if both feeders were used they would fit in the side door opening with little or no likelihood of that they fall out. I planned to use a feeder in each cage but bought two more to set up in another cage in the same way as the photo. Definitely worth buying two more for my birds. Additional information 7/14/18: I noticed that there was a complaint about sharp points in the area of the perch where the bird stands. I also had these on one of my feeders and picked up an Emory board. With a few hits, the pointed hard plastic was gone.
