With my short legs, it is difficult for me to find a pair of shorts with legs that end above my knees. These are just long enough to cover the hem of my boxer-briefs, which is what I was searching for. Waist fit is exactly as expected. Pockets are usefully deep, and button closures for back pockets are superior to the frustrating velcro I've found with other shorts. Material is quite thin, which I prefer in hot weather, and has a pleasing, soft texture. I guess there is some measure of stretch to the waist band, but not much.
