The mount, arm and light housing are all plastic. The unit is very light weight.It only takes 2 screws to mount and is sort of a pain to adjust. The only way I could change the lights angle was to remove the nut and screw and slide the pieces together in a different slot.The remote works well and the light is reasonably bright for its size. Must get direct sun to recharge. They say make sure it has 5 hours of sunlight before first use.So not put at a height where someone can reach up and grab it. It will snap like a dry twig.You'll need to get it wu out of reach and in direct sunlight. Keep out of reach of kids. (it's all plastic)Not a bad light for the price but I have another one that came with a metal pole that mounts to the house. Like that one better, its larger, brighter and more robust.
