If the Carl RM-12 paper cutter starts making sloppy cuts and you have to sand every cut, be sure to replace the cutting mat. At first I changed the blades, thinking they were dull, but the result was the same torn edges. After replacing the cutting mat, my cutter was like new again! As a greetings card maker, I rely heavily on my professional Carl cutting plotter and wouldn't want to be without it for even a day or two, so I bought a set of two cutting mats to have a spare. I'm glad Revain sells these as they aren't available in local stores.
