Review on Portable Surge Guard 44280 💡 - 120V, 30A,Black: Top-notch Surge Protector by Steve Hauck

This product was very poorly made and failed on our third trip. The power suddenly went out in our caravan. When we checked the network connection, all the lights on the network filter were green, which should indicate a good connection. However, we then attempted to disconnect our trailer's power cord from the surge protector and found that one of the connector pins was welded to the surge protector. I finally took them apart and then removed the back panel from the surge protector. I found that the electrical connections were very poorly soldered and one of them had broken off. I believe when it came loose it started arcing and welding my caravan's plug to the surge protector. While I'm wrong in my assessment, this thing broke after a few uses and just seems to have broke and didn't protect me from a surge.
