Note: This may only be related to the antenna I am using. It's a quad band, so it's heavier on the top than most others you'd normally attach. And where I attached it: the end of the bed of my pickup truck. The screw holding the bracket upright does not have enough grip on my antenna. When I tried to turn it any further, it broke. I wanted to return it even though I like everything else about it. But instead I drilled through it for a larger bolt and locknut. Works like a dream for a little work and a few bucks for a nut and bolt.
