The CB antenna will not work with this mount. It looks like an amateur radio antenna. The Cb antenna has a ⅜ x 24 threaded stud, has 2 connectors.

Works the way I wanted it to. I couldn't have asked for anything better. It was permanently installed on my car in minutes. The cable ran to my radio connected to my diamond antenna and I broadcast with a watt meter and the ratio and power was perfect.

I bought for my 2019 Yukon but the new cars have such tight tolerances that they wouldn't fit to my satisfaction without affecting the hood finish. That being said the mount is high quality and I recommend this particular unit if you have at least 1/8 inch clearance on the hood or trunk.

Note: This may only be related to the antenna I am using. It's a quad band, so it's heavier on the top than most others you'd normally attach. And where I attached it: the end of the bed of my pickup truck. The screw holding the bracket upright does not have enough grip on my antenna. When I tried to turn it any further, it broke.
